Thomas Tyner Sets Records and Goes HAM [Friday Night Lights]
Thomas Tyner led Aloha to an 84-63 win over Lakeridge High School on Friday night. He put forth a Herculean effort that saw him account for 10 touchdowns and 643 yards rushing. Mike Richman of HS sports on Oregon Live reported that both are state records. Word on the street is that he tied for third an American high school record.
Tyner is an Oregon commit. Normally I don’t care about high school football and recruits because it is ridiculous on its principle, but Tyner was playing my alma mater, so I had an interest in his amazing runs.
He’s ranked 105 on ESPNU’s 150 and is 6’0″ 205 lb. A speed running back with that size is something Oregon hasn’t seen since Jonathan Stewart. This is simply an amazing performance that had to be documented on SFAS.
