About/Contact
Searching for Akili Smith (SFAS) is foremost devoted to a people’s perspective of sports and entertainment. Whether it be football, basketball, hip-hop, funk, or movies, if it is worth knowing, we will find it and spread its worth to the loyal fans.
Everyone has a childhood hero. Kabisa Akili Maradufu Smith was our first favorite Duck. Smith etched himself into Duck lore and our hearts and minds for eternity. Sadly, he fell victim to the curse of potential and suffered through a journeyman’s professional career. This leaves us wondering, “Where is Akili Smith now?” His story’s glory has been forgotten from a view of only the pinnacle of sport. It is the stories of fallen heroes, glorious defeats, and herculean efforts on the field that inspire us to be better.
Revolutions are not necessarily a hatred for the present. Often they represent hope towards the future. Our search is not just about athlete’s progressions through their careers. It’s about finding the real power in performance, keeping the youthful passion towards sports and the players. It is with these thoughts that we move forward into a future of games, players, and great moments yet to come.

Authors
Rusty Ryan: Once robbed three casinos at the same time with a team put together by George Clooney. He’s stolen the Coronation Egg and crashed the GRECO security system, essentially toppling a casino. He’s laying low while planning his next heist. In his down time he spends a little too much time watching sports, especially the ducks, betting on sports (while in Las Vegas), and soaking in pop culture.
Professor Jennings: Prof. Jennings’ many hobbies include overanalyzing Milton’s Paradise Lost, smoking with pupils and discussing alternate universes, engaging in what some would call inappropriate relations with his female students, and exposing himself to cameras at inopportune moments. He considers himself somewhat of a renaissance man. In his free time he spaces out and stares at the wall, consumes sports nonstop, and is an avid fan of the Faber College Mongols.
Eli Cash: Eli Cash was once a friend of the Tenenbaum family. After his on and off again relationship with Margot Tenenbaum, he slowly descended back into his first true love: drugs. After an incident involving 3 cows, an oven mitt, and a signed Mark McGuire Wheaties Box, Cash realized that drugs would soon be the end of him, so he started focusing on writing.
George Costanza: The founder of latex giant Vandelay Industries, George Costanza has been stuck in perpetual mediocrity for most of his life. Having worked as both an architect and hand model in New York City he now spends most of his time doing nothing. Hobbies include frolf, marine biology and self-pity. Among his crowning achievements are world theory and the roommate switch.
When he’s not taking trips to Las Vegas, where Trent met Rusty Ryan, you can normally find him at The Dresden getting digits from beautiful babies. Industry standard is two days, but he likes to wait six before before calling. He doesn’t have to be liked by everybody, he doesn’t like some people, and some people don’t like him. Once he made even the camera man cry with his audition for the role of “brother.” His name is Trent Walker, but you can call him “Double Down.”
